The Beech Consultancy provide £25,000 free coaching development
The Beech Consultancy teamed up with local Hull school to offer £25,000 worth of free coaching development to benefit local community.
Shared learning across Humber based public sector organisations
In January 2009 The Beech Consultancy & St Mary’s College embarked on a project to build coaching capability across local public sector organisations. This was in line with the Every Child Matters Agenda, and more recently with Total Place developing a ‘whole area’ approach to public services.
We embarked on this project with St Mary’s as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy. We donated business time to the value of £25,000 to run the 9 month Certificate in Performance Development Coaching, a recognised coaching qualification with the Association for Coaching.
“We recognise the importance of responsibility to the wider community and were keen to embrace this and get involved. As we’re involved in learning and development, it felt like a natural fit to be working with St Mary’s College and other local public sector organisations” said Principal Consultant, Steve Benfield.
The beginnings of this exciting programme…
In January 2009 The Beech Consultancy and St Mary’s College invited a number of public sector organisations across the Humber region to join this innovative programme – the first of its kind in the area to bring public sector organisations together to share this learning.
The programme started in March 2009, facilitated by Nikki Escreet and the following all took part; Gerard Lowe and Pauline Smith of St Mary’s College, Allison Burton of Humberside Police, Sue Richards of Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals, Claire Hamner of Mallet Lambert School, Dave Hall, ex Humberside Fire & Rescue Service and Niall McKiniry of Humberside Fire & Rescue Service.
Congratulation to recent graduates!
On Thursday 17th June, we held a graduation evening which was a fantastic evening, where we celebrated the graduations and shared learnings and experiences from the 9-month programme.
Many congratulations to successful graduates Gerard, Allison, Sue, Dave and Niall.
Rebecca Owen of The Beech Consultancy commented “we were delighted to be celebrating with the graduates on the evening. The Association for Coaching sets very high standards and it is testament to everyone’s commitment and hard work – congratulations!”
