There is much hype in the market about coaching moving towards regulation. As we recently reported, Steve Benfield, Principal Consultant of The Beech Consultancy believes coaches should start to consider their own personal development, supervision and accreditation options as the industry moves towards regulation.
Steve comments “It’s certainly what all coaches here at The Beech Consultancy are committed to. We’ve set ourselves the goal that by March 2009 all our coaches will be accredited with one professional body, be it the Association for Coaching, The European Mentoring and Coaching Council or the International Coaching Federation.”
We’re delighted to report that Performance Development Coach, Peter Blackeby has just become accredited with the Association for Coaching!
Steve comments, “We’re absolutely delighted with Peter’s successful accreditation. He takes his development and his practice very seriously and more importantly, the clients he works with.”
Peter Blackeby comments, “I’m absolutely delighted to have achieved recognition as an accredited coach. Measuring myself against the benchmark of accreditation is one way to contribute to our clients’ confidence in our capability to deliver effective and ethical coaching.”
