Steve Benfield
Principal consultant
Steve founded The Beech Consultancy in 2000 along with Glenn Malkin and is the organisation’s Principal Consultant. With a background in senior level general management and having worked in a number of sectors including Education, Health and Charity, Steve drives the success of The Beech Consultancy and works directly with some of the larger clients. He draws upon postgraduate qualifications in management and education and many years practical experience, including leading roles in the Chartered Management Institute and the Association for Coaching.
Paul Bennett
Senior Consultant
Paul Bennett is a Senior Consultant at The Beech Consultancy working primarily with clients in the Humber region. Paul spends much of his time building relationships with clients as well as designing and delivering a range of performance development programmes. Paul is a highly experienced and qualified performance development coach, and delivers into the business a high degree of personal integrity and congruence with the values of the organisation which he uses to develop highly valued relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Paul is working with a range of clients including Hull College and North Lincolnshire Council and is heavily involved in delivering and supporting programmes under the umbrella of the Centre for Performance Development.
Jacquelyn Bownes
Performance Development Consultant
Jacquelyn is a Performance Development Consultant with The Beech Consultancy. Living just north of Manchester, Jacquelyn works on a part time basis with The Beech, primarily with our clients in the North West. A highly experienced development consultant and coach, Jacquelyn has worked successfully at a senior level within many sectors and environments including Financial Services, Retail and Health. She enjoys working in partnership alongside her clients, who describe her as highly pragmatic, challenging, insightful, and fun to work with. As well as her postgraduate qualifications in HR Management, and membership of the Association for Coaching, Jacquelyn holds expertise in a range of specialist areas including Myers Briggs.
Peter Blackeby
Performance Development Coach
Peter has worked in the corporate sector for many years including Smiths Industries and Eagle Star, where he has held a variety of senior management positions. Before joining The Beech Consultancy he was responsible for coaching and managing the performance of senior managers, as well as providing leadership to a team of professional development managers at Norwich Union. Peter now specialises in leadership and executive coaching and has worked in a wide variety of sectors with leaders and managers at all levels within organisations. He believes his experience and skills enable him to add great value to clients through coaching. Peter is a Member of the Association for Coaching and holds a post-graduate diploma in Professional Coaching and Mentoring as well as a qualification with the Institute of Business Consulting.
Debbie Connors
Performance Development Coach
Debbie has a solid background in Human Resource Management across a variety of industries including IT, the public sector and FMCG where she worked at both an operational and a strategic level. Debbie is well positioned as a coach. She has spent a number of years supporting people across a range of disciplines, in developing their roles through coaching. Debbie’s practice is underpinned by a broad psychological understanding and a holistic perspective on life. She is experienced in MBTI, psychometrics and stress management techniques to achieve peak performance at work. Debbie is a member of the Association for Coaching as well as being a Chartered member of the CIPD.
Jan Brause
Performance Development Coach
Jan Brause is an associate Performance Development Coach who has been working with The Beech Consultancy for several years. With many years experience of senior level individual and organisational development, both in the UK and overseas, Jan offers a valuable perspective into the work of The Beech Consultancy. She is a fellow of the CIPD, and is an NLP master practitioner and has had several articles published in the professional journals. Being highly qualified in the field, Jan also has extensive experience of non-directive performance development coaching and as a leading contributor to the Association for Coaching is extremely well respected in this area.
Beverley Collins
Performance Development Coach
Beverley Collins joined The Beech Consultancy as a Performance Development Coach in 2002, and is our longest serving and perhaps most experienced associate. With many years background in management and leadership development in an often blue-chip environment, Bev has gone on to become a highly qualified and well respected performance development coach. Her knowledge and experience in this area led Bev to develop The Beech Consultancy’s Certificate in Performance Development Coaching programme – now the foundation of the organisation’s Centre for Performance Development. Bev holds key relationships with several of The Beech Consultancy’s clients including the Co-operative Group in Manchester
Christine Froebel
Performance Development Coach
Christine Froebel is an associate Performance Development Coach with the Beech Consultancy. She currently works with some of Beech’s largest clients including Corus (formerly British Steel) delivering individual coaching to senior managers. Christine has significant experience in the Health and Commercial sectors, and has delivered a wide range of management and leadership development interventions as well as strategic level support. As well as being a highly experienced development coach she is also an NLP master practitioner and holds a certificate in Transactional Analysis with the Institute of Transactional Analysis. Christine has a keen interest in developing the Supervision process to support learning organisations with coaching philosophies This year she completes her certificate in Supervision with the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy.
Julia Menaul
Performance Development Coach
Julia is a highly energetic and effective performance development specialist with extensive experience in Human Resource Management across a range of business sectors. Her excellent interpersonal skills enable her to work at corporate, team and individual levels. She combines strong consultancy skills with the ability to deliver quality development programmes including insightful performance development coaching.
Jill Savage
Performance Development Coach
Jill is a professionally qualified and highly experienced human resources and development specialist with extensive knowledge in managemengt development, performance development coaching and psychometrics. Using NLP, TA and other relevent approaches, Jill has worked with some major industrial, professional and public sector organisations across the UK, and brings a calm, confident yet dynamic approach to the programmes she facilitates.
Helen Brooks
Business Manager
Helen has been with The Beech Consultancy for several years and plays a fundamental role in co-ordinating the strategies of the business, with particular responsibilities for Human Resources. As Business Manager, Helen also holds accountability for the financial reporting and management information within the organisation as well as managing the day to day operation of the office. Helen and her husband Darryl recently had their first child and Helen has returned to work on a part time basis from July 2007.
Rebecca Limb
Marketing Manager
Becky joined The Beech Consultancy in 2007 to lead on the development and implementation of the organistion's marketing and business development strategy. Building on the brand development and our web presence, Becky will ensure Beech is responding to market needs and positioning the business in line with our aspirations and values. Her background is with larger corporate organisations in the UK and Australia, so she brings a wealth of important marketing experience and perspective into the role.
Ian Hainey
Office Manager
Ian has responsibility for overseeing the day to day administration of the Business Support team and for updating and maintaining the financial systems and records of the company. He is also our centre manager for our open programmes and holds responsibility for the smooth running of the organisation and documentation required for each programme.
Fiona Harper
Business Assistant
Fiona is often the face of The Beech Consultancy, being the person many people will speak with first on the phone, or when visiting Newlands House. She supports other team members in the preparation of programme materials, co-ordinating diaries and providing information. Fiona's role is fundemental to the smooth running of the organisation, and she is the hub around which information flows and activities are co-ordinated.
